Air Transfer and Evening Game Drive

Your journey begins with a scenic flight that lands you on the Mana Pools airstrip. We suggest you use soft luggage to accommodate the light aircraft transfer. Awaiting your arrival will be your expert guide, who will be your companion and storyteller for the next four days. You will be transferred to Ingwe Pan, a camp so beautifully positioned by an infinite waterhole that attracts a stunning array of wildlife. Here, you will check-in, have a glorious lunch, and later, after a rest, go on for an evening game drive. This drive offers your first glimpse into the rich diversity of the park and its inhabitants. Later, you’ll return for a nice dinner, served under a canopy of stars.

Mana Pools Full Day Game Drive

You will be joining your guide in Mana Pools National Park for a full day guided game drive. It’s a fantastic opportunity to see some of the animals you came so far to see. The area covered by game drives depends on the amount of rain that the park has received, with drives in the dry season concentrating on the riverine areas, as water sources dry up elsewhere and animals are attracted to the banks of the Zambezi. Large herds of elephant and buffalo can be seen on the wide floodplains, as can zebra, kudu, eland, impala and many other antelope species. Mana Pools is particularly well known for its large bull elephants and the expert guides leading your game drive will know where to find individual animals. You will head back to the camp for lunch or your guide will treat you to a picnic lunch and later return into the park for an afternoon game drive to look for more wildlife. Several prides of lion have made this their territory and they are regularly spotted. The park is also particularly well known for sightings of the endangered wild dog. Leopard, cheetah and hyena are also occasionally encountered, although they are shy and far less readily spotted. Conclude the day with dinner at camp.

Canoeing

Air Transfer

After one last early morning coffee and a final game drive, you will have breakfast surrounded by the sights and sounds of the bush. It’s a moment to savor the stillness and the wildness before your departure. As you are driven back to the airstrip, you will have one last opportunity to spot wildlife, a final farewell from the animals who have shared their home with you.
