Itinerary
Day 1 - The Great River Confluence & Bush Introduction
Welcome and Chobe River Morning Cruise
Your journey begins with a seamless pick-up from Kasane Airport or the Kazungula border (the unique meeting point of four nations). You’ll be whisked away to our central meeting point for a warm meet and greet over fresh tea, coffee, and local rusks. We start on the water. This isn’t just a boat ride; it’s a front-row seat to the river’s ecosystem. You’ll likely see pods of hippos, massive Nile crocodiles basking on the banks, and elephants swimming across the channels, a sight unique to this region. Return to solid ground for a traditional buffet lunch, featuring a mix of international flavours and local staples like pap (maize meal) and grilled meats, allowing you to refuel for the afternoon.Afternoon Game Drive and Camp Arrival
Board our open-sided 4×4 safari vehicles for your first foray into the National Park. The afternoon light is perfect for photography as we track lions, leopards, and the ubiquitous Cape buffalo moving toward the water for a sunset drink. As dusk falls, we transfer you to our intimate bush camp. Settle into your canvas home under the stars, followed by a fire-cooked dinner and the nocturnal sounds of the African bush.Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 2 - Into the Heart of the Chobe Wilderness
Wake up to the African Alarm Clock, the sound of birdsong. After a quick continental breakfast of tea, coffee, and biscuits by the fire, we head out at first light. This is the prime time to spot predators like lions or wild dogs while they are still active before the heat of the day. Return to the shade of
the camp for a late, leisurely brunch. The hottest part of the day is reserved for safari siesta time.
Relax in the camp, catch up on your journal, or perhaps spot some of the 450 bird species that call this park home. At roughly 15:00, we venture back out, exploring different loops of the park such as the Serondela area. Your guide will interpret the complex tracks and signs of the bush, teaching you about the smaller wonders from dung beetles to the Little Five. We return to camp around 18:30, just as the sky turns a deep indigo. Your final evening is spent around the boma (campfire), sharing stories of the day’s sightings over a delicious three-course safari meal.Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 3 - Farewell to the Floodplains
Following a final, soul-stirring breakfast in the heart of the bush, we embark on a gentle transit through the park’s transit routes giving you one last opportunity to admire the resident giraffe and zebra before ensuring your timely arrival at Kasane Airport or the Kazungula border for your onward
journey, leaving you with a profound appreciation for the wild heritage of Botswana.Meals: Breakfast
